Shinsaibashi-suji’s glass roof runs 600 meters from the station to Dōtonbori; Tenjinbashi-suji, north of the center, is the longest in Japan at 2.6 kilometers. In August humidity these arcades are the pedestrian arteries; the sunlit avenues are for taxis.
